Located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Yas Marina Circuit is another example of the UAE’s commitment to innovation and design. The circuit opened in 2009 and was designed by the renowned German engineer and racing driver, Hermann Tilke. Reachable by car, plane or boat, it is situated on the man-made Yas Island, an entertainment center that also includes a theme park, water park, residential areas, hotels and beaches. Yas Marina Circuit is the venue for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix and has a seating capacity of approximately 41,000 with the longest straight of 1,140 meters. The circuit has five grandstand areas: Main Grandstand, West Grandstand, North Grandstand, South Grandstand and Marina Grandstand that provide different views of the impressive driving that takes place.
