What to expect

This is a historical building, which housed the collection of the founder of the Gallery P.M.Tretyakov (since 1856). Here you can see more than 1300 works of Russian art from the 11th till the early 20th century, beginning from pre-Mongolian icons and mosaics and ending with landscape, portrait and historical painting and masterpieces, including the works like "Trinity," by Andrei Rublev and "The Apparition of Christ Before the Peopl" by Alexander Ivanov. The works of the great artists V.I.Surikov, V.V.Vereshchagin, I.E.Repin, V.A.Serov and others are represented in different sides.

Meeting point:

Tretyakovskaya metro station is the shortest way. Exit from subway one. Climb the escalator up, you will get to the street Big Ordynka. Go over it-you hit the building of a fast food restaurant. Turn left. Then to the right-you will get to the Horde deadlock. Go to it to the end, to the intersection with Lavrushensky lane. There the building of the Tretyakov gallery will already be within sight.

What to remember
  • After booking confirmation, you will receive an official electronic ticket via email
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Free ticket can be added to the order only if there is at least one paid ticket in the order
  • An audio guide is paid separately (500 rubles)
  • A Deposit for the audio guide — 2000 rubles or any ID. The rental period is limited only by the working hours of the Museum
